Welcome to our studio!
Jacinth Piano Studio provides premium private lessons for students of all ages and abilities in Los Angeles, California. Lessons are conducted either at the studio in West Los Angeles or in your own home. Students are encouraged to perform at various events throughout the year.
Our Values
All students receive a comprehensive musical training that is adapted to each individual’s ability, personality, and interests. Under my guidance, students will learn music theory, technique, and how to perform whilst in a positive and supportive environment. Ultimately, I hope to foster a love for music in all my students.
What Students Will Learn
Not limited to the classical repertoire, I have a great love for all musical genres. Often, my students request learning music that ranges from the likes of John Williams to the Beatles to Lady Gaga. It is important that students receive a formal, well-rounded musical education while gaining the chance to explore and have fun.
First Lesson at Jacinth Piano Studio
Prior to the first lesson, I informally interview prospective students and/or their parents in order to get to know them and what they hope to achieve. At the first lesson, I meet with both the student and the parent (if applicable) and begin a short, informal quiz for the student if he or she has had previous lessons. If the student is a beginner, we start the lesson where it is comfortable for the student, such as exploring the keyboard, identifying a good hand and body position, and listening to and imitating melodies and rhythms.
Although it is my mission to have students achieve specific goals by the end of every lesson, it is important for students of all levels to know that learning music is a gradual but extremely rewarding process that requires consistent effort and patience. The rewards – which are many – will remain for a lifetime!
Performance Opportunities
I encourage all students to showcase their talents in our semi-annual, themed Student Recitals, as well as in various performances that are offered throughout the year. Ensemble performances are also highly recommended for students of all ages and skill levels.
