So without further ado, allow me to transport you back to our time in Barcelona when we went to Icaria Beach and got our tan on. Located on the Mediterranean coast, Barcelona is home to 7 beaches, 5 of which are man made and were developed in preparation for Barcelona to host the Olympic Games in Charles and I learned this interesting fact during a bike tour of the city Of these 7 beaches, Barceloneta Beach is the most well known. Our 1st day in Barcelona , Charles and I walked along the boardwalk at Barceloneta to check out the scene and found it to be a little too chaotic and overrun with people. For anyone looking to party on the beach, Barceloneta is the perfect playa to visit but Charles and I were in the mood for something more chill.
I was even heading down to the beach with my towel in November! Yes Sir! Sitges and the end of Mar Bella for example…. Pay attention to the marvelous sand castles, forests and other sculptures on the side of the walkway. Some of them really are impressive: they build mountains with waterfalls, volcanos and pay attention to details like trees and caves!
Topless (For 5 Seconds) At Icaria Beach in Barcelona
It is also considered punishable going shirtless around the city in certain areas with fines between and euros. However, there are a variety of local beaches where you can go nude and enjoy the sun. The area has great food and drink options nearby and is a popular spot for surfers. Not only do some of their beaches allow nudity but they are also some of the most beautiful in Catalonia. And while some might consider this normal, others felt offended, which they also had the right to be.
Being in Barcelona, you are encompassed by the gorgeous Mediterranean beaches. During the hot summer months, these beaches are a main tourist attraction, it is important to know what you may be getting yourself into… nude beaches. All Barcelona beaches share a special atmosphere that you will never experience elsewhere.
